We (Jessica and Greg) have been working side by side for more than five years now. Our complimentary skills and personalities bring a cohesive nature to the projects we work on. Our strengths are then combined with an in-house production team, as well as talented copywriters, photographers, and other specialists. We believe that good relationships make for great projects and that concept starts in the studio but rapidly carries over to the projects we take on and the way we work with our clients.
You can expect honest communication, unbiased advice (even for services we don't offer) and two passionate entrepreneurs who can often relate to the challenges your business faces.
Greg built his first website in 1995 using Notepad, a bootleg copy of Corel Draw, and scraps of html and JavaScript he "borrowed" from various websites. It was a tribute site to the classic computer game Leisure Suit Larry, and by the end of the month over 30,000 visitors had stopped by! He was hooked!
Greg founded The Interactive Dept. to share his enthusiasm for programming with a genuine interest in meeting other business owners, discovering what makes them tick, and then bringing that passion to the web.
Jessica always knew she was going to be an artist. Yet she had no idea what ‘Graphic Design' was back in the 80's. She discovered that world in a computer graphics class at her small town high school and soon plans to pursue a career in architecture faded as a new search for art schools to study Graphic Design began.
Jessica enjoys commuting to work via bike and stays active with running, cycling and her new found love, mountain biking.
Tober is our office dog. We really wouldn't be much of a Portland creative studio if we didn't have a dog at the office, now would we?
While Tober much prefers the open shorelines of the Pacific Coast to our cozy studio, he still enjoys coming to work, greeting guests at the door, and looking out the window at passing dogs on the street below.
